Digvijaya Singh to Visit Ayodhyas Ram Temple on March 26

Bhopal, March 24: Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh and Congress Rajya Sabha MP, Digvijaya Singh, will visit the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on March 26. This marks his first visit to Ayodhya since the construction of the Ram Temple began.

Singh’s office in Bhopal confirmed the news, stating that he will depart from Delhi to Ayodhya on an Air India flight on the morning of March 26. After offering prayers at the temple, he plans to travel by road to Lucknow.

It remains unclear whether his wife, Amrita Rai, will accompany him on this trip. His office indicated that he is likely to travel alone.

In 2021, Singh donated ₹1,11,111 for the construction of the Ram Temple, sending the check to the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. He had previously stated that he would come to pray once the temple was fully completed. His office noted, “The main construction work of the temple is now nearly finished, so he is coming to fulfill his promise.”

Meanwhile, BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma from Bhopal criticized the former Chief Minister. He stated, “I will request him to pay tribute to the martyrs who faced bullets in 1992 during his visit to the Ram Temple.”

Sharma further remarked that if the political leadership of the country had understood this reality earlier, the Ram Temple in Ayodhya would have been built many years ago. He added, “Today, as you worship the same Ram Lalla whom your party once dismissed as a fictional character, acknowledge that Ram Lalla is not a figment of imagination but a living reality.”
