New Delhi, March 30: Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making false claims. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has firmly rebutted these allegations, sharing a video on X that counters Gandhi’s statements.
During a rally, Rahul Gandhi claimed that whenever Prime Minister Modi speaks, he focuses on temples, God, and religion. However, he pointed out that Modi remains silent when it comes to the alleged gold theft at Kerala’s Sabarimala temple by CPI(M) leaders.
In response, the BJP released a video featuring PM Modi, where he clearly discusses taking action against the culprits. This video dates back to January 23, 2026, when Modi addressed a gathering and stated that the LDF government has done nothing to protect the traditions of the Sabarimala temple. He mentioned that reports of gold theft from the temple have surfaced.
PM Modi stated, “The theft of gold from the temple… I want to make one thing clear: once the BJP forms the government here in Kerala, a proper investigation into the allegations will take place, and the guilty will be behind bars. This is my guarantee.”
The case of alleged gold theft from the renowned Sabarimala temple has emerged, with claims that over 4.5 kilograms of gold, which was offered to the deities, has been misappropriated.
Investigative agencies, particularly the SIT and ED, have arrested more than 13 individuals, including the chief priest Kandararu Rajeevaru and former officials. Allegations have surfaced regarding fraudulent activities involving the gold plating of the temple’s copper doors.
