Mumbai, August 4 (H.S.) – While the theatrical landscape is bustling with a host of new releases, Dhadak 2—starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri—has struggled to meet expectations at the box office. Despite praise for its emotional storyline and the lead pair’s chemistry, the film’s earnings have remained underwhelming during its opening weekend.

According to box office tracker Sacnilk, Dhadak 2 earned ₹4.25 crore on Sunday, bringing its three-day total to ₹11.50 crore. The film opened with ₹3.5 crore on Friday, followed by ₹3.75 crore on Saturday. With a reported budget of ₹60 crore, the film still has a long way to go before breaking even.

Directed by Shazia Iqbal and produced by Karan Johar, Dhadak 2 is a romantic drama exploring themes of love, caste, and societal resistance. Siddhant Chaturvedi plays Nilesh, while Triptii Dimri portrays Vidhi. The film has received praise for its emotional depth and intense performances, particularly in key dramatic sequences.

Supporting roles are played by Ashish Chowdhry, Vipin Sharma, Manjiri Pupala, Deeksha Joshi, Ashwant Lodi, Amit Jat, Priyank Tiwari, Mayank Khanna, and Aditya Thackeray.

While critical reception has been generally positive, Dhadak 2 faces stiff competition at the box office, and may need strong weekday footfalls or word-of-mouth buzz to turn its fortunes around.
