Delhi Chief Minister Distributes Appointment Letters to 109 NDMC Employees

New Delhi, May 16: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta distributed appointment letters to 109 employees of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) who were appointed on compassionate grounds. The event took place at the NDMC Convention Center on Jai Singh Road.

During the ceremony, the Chief Minister praised the efforts of the municipal corporation, stating that these initiatives have brought new hope to 109 families. She emphasized that the NDMC is not just an institution but a family where representatives, officials, and employees work together for the service of the nation. The NDMC area is central to the country’s administrative and democratic framework, with employees playing a crucial role in enhancing the image of the national capital.

The Chief Minister remarked that these appointments are not merely jobs; they represent a lifelong support system that provides stability and security for these families. She expressed her happiness that nearly 90 women were among those receiving appointment letters, and she is confident that all selected candidates will work with dedication to strengthen the commitment to “Developed India, Developed Delhi.”

Additionally, the distribution of medical health cards to contract employees under the LMHS scheme was highlighted as a significant relief. The Chief Minister noted that medical expenses often impose a heavy financial burden on families, making cashless medical facilities a protective measure for employees and their families.

She reiterated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the government is committed to providing a sensitive and transparent governance system based on the motto of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.” The current administration aims to ensure that no employee, officer, or citizen faces injustice and that everyone receives necessary facilities with dignity and respect.

Minister Pravesh Sahib Singh stated that the issuance of appointment letters to the dependents of deceased employees and the provision of medical cards for contract workers are significant steps toward social welfare. He noted that these measures have brought smiles to the faces of the dependents and provided relief to contract employees, who will no longer have to bear additional financial burdens in medical emergencies.
