New Delhi, March 23: On the occasion of the martyrdom day of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva paid tribute alongside party leaders and workers at a ceremony held at the party office on Monday.

Former Delhi BJP President and MLA Satish Upadhyay also honored Bhagat Singh by laying flowers at his statue during a program at Bhagat Singh Park in Malviya Nagar.

Addressing party workers at the state office, Sachdeva emphasized that Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru are immortal heroes of India’s freedom struggle, who sacrificed their lives for the motherland with a smile.

He noted that these three revolutionaries shook the foundations of the British Empire with their slogan “Inquilab Zindabad,” and they were executed on March 23, 1931, a day we now commemorate as “Martyrdom Day.”

Sachdeva stated that their sacrifice was not merely a political act of resistance but a symbol of patriotism for the youth of the nation. Their courage and ideological clarity continue to inspire millions of Indians today. The sacrifices of these great sons of the nation will always be remembered in golden letters in history.

The event was attended by a large number of party workers, including Delhi BJP General Secretary and MP Yogendra Chandolia, State BJP Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor, Media Relations Head Vikram Mittal, Spokesperson Yasir Jilani, Co-Office Secretary Amit Gupta, and local leaders from various districts.

In another event, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta unveiled a statue of ‘Shaheed-e-Azam’ Bhagat Singh at the Registrar Cooperatives office on Parliament Street.

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the restored ‘Historic Court Trial Chamber.’ She remarked that March 23 is a day of immense pride and emotional remembrance for the entire nation. This day reminds us of the supreme sacrifices made by those brave freedom fighters who laid down their lives for the country’s liberation. Witnessing these memories revived in this historic complex is a moment of great pride and emotion for every Indian.
