New Delhi, March 30: Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has expressed concern over the escalating tensions in West Asia. Targeting the BJP, she stated that unity is essential, but the party is spreading misinformation across the country.
Priyanka Gandhi has urged the central government to present a clear strategy regarding the ongoing conflict in West Asia. She emphasized that lives are at risk due to continuous bombings and called for the government to outline its plans for safely evacuating Indians trapped in affected areas.
She remarked that it is inappropriate to politicize sensitive issues like war. The entire nation stands united, and the priority should be the safety of citizens. However, she clarified that unity does not mean avoiding questions about the issues at hand. A detailed discussion in Parliament is necessary for all parties to collaborate on finding solutions.
As the conflict intensifies, the government’s responsibility to take timely and concrete actions increases. Priyanka Gandhi highlighted that the government must reassure the public that all possible efforts are being made. She viewed the opposition’s call for discussion as a positive step in this direction.
In addition to the situation in West Asia, Priyanka Gandhi also raised concerns about rising inflation within the country. She pointed out that the prices of cooking gas, specifically LPG cylinders, are continually increasing, causing hardships for ordinary citizens. The poor and middle class are finding it increasingly difficult to afford gas cylinders, directly impacting their daily lives.
She appealed to the government to take inflation seriously and formulate effective policies. Priyanka Gandhi stated that open discussions in Parliament can lead to a better understanding of issues and effective solutions through suggestions from all sides.
She reiterated that all parties should work together on matters of national interest to ensure the safety and welfare of the country and its citizens.
