Delhi Assembly Speaker Engages with Young Participants of Developed India Youth Parliament

New Delhi, March 30: Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta will engage with young participants of the State Level Developed India Youth Parliament (VBYIP) 2026 on Monday. This event is organized in collaboration with the ‘My India’ portal under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, as confirmed by an official on Sunday.

An official statement noted that this interaction is part of the State Level Round of VBYIP 2026, aimed at promoting the involvement of young citizens in democratic institutions and legal processes.

Vijender Gupta will hold discussions with the youth in a conference room near the Chief Minister’s Office at the Delhi Assembly.

The Developed India Youth Parliament serves as a platform for young voices to participate in national discussions and shape the vision of ‘Developed India 2047’. It fosters leadership, civic participation, and policy discussions, allowing students to deliberate on key national issues.

According to an official statement, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, this edition is entirely offline and implemented through the ‘My India’ initiative to maximize youth participation.

The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports states that the Developed India Youth Parliament symbolizes a shift from traditional youth parliaments, aiming to cultivate a new generation of dynamic, solution-oriented, and policy-aware young leaders. The initiative is conducted at three levels.

The statement further explained that district-level rounds occur at district nodes, while state-level programs are held in 17 state assemblies and 18 other government institutions. These rounds mark a historic milestone in bridging the gap between youth and governance, with sessions presided over by state speakers, thereby elevating the importance of youth discussions.
