New Delhi, August 19: Maharashtra Cyber ADG Yashasvi Yadav spoke to the media about India-U.S. cyber cooperation. He highlighted the benefits for women through partnerships between the Uttar Pradesh government and American companies, as mentioned by Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission Vice Chairperson Aparna Yadav. Both emphasized the importance of engaging with Generation Z.
Yashasvi Yadav stated, “I am the head of cybercrime. Cybersecurity is my goal. India has 870 million smartphones. Today, cybercrime has become the world’s largest crime. A secure cyber environment is essential for any business and investment to thrive. Previously, strong laws were necessary for business, but with the advent of CCTV, things improved. If the cyber landscape is not secure, no business can succeed. Hence, today’s event focused on cybersecurity.”
He noted the changing times and the necessity of adapting. During the event, they introduced technologies to enhance cybersecurity, which attendees understood well.
Regarding India-U.S. cyber collaboration, Yadav mentioned, “The Maharashtra government has established one of the world’s best cybersecurity centers, recognized by the United Nations as a top facility. Many American companies have contributed their tools and technologies to the Maharashtra Cyber Center, and we have provided them with various models. Cooperation between the two countries is ongoing.”
On engaging with Generation Z, Yadav remarked that they are intelligent and quick, having been born into a virtual world with digital devices. In contrast, millennials grew up in the real world with tangible friendships and sports.
Aparna Yadav discussed the advantages for women through the collaboration with IACC and American firms, stating, “We have considered women’s perspectives on cybersecurity to strategize how the American chapter can facilitate our women in Uttar Pradesh, especially those in self-help groups, to sell their products in international markets.”
She also highlighted the positive discussions with Generation Z, asserting, “They are aligned with India. Generation Z embodies the spirit of India, and with technical support, we can connect them with traditional values and holistic education, fostering an environment for a brighter future.”
