New Delhi, September 23 (Daily Kiran) : A collaborative effort between the Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of Delhi’s North-East district and the Jaffrabad police station has led to the successful recovery of a three-year-old girl reported missing. Authorities found her safe within just 24 hours of her disappearance.
The incident unfolded on Tuesday night when the Jaffrabad police received a report about the missing child. The girl’s mother, a resident of Subhash Mohalla in Chauhan Bangar, informed the police that she had gone to view a rented flat with her mother-in-law and daughter around 6 PM. It was only around 6:40 PM, while crossing Kalyanwali Gali, that she realized her daughter was no longer with them. Despite immediate efforts to locate the child in the surrounding area, they were unsuccessful.
Acting quickly, senior officers supervised a special police team led by Inspector Kiran Pal from Jaffrabad and Inspector Deepak Pandey from AATS. They initiated an extensive search operation, making public announcements and meticulously combing through nearby streets. The team also collected and analyzed CCTV footage from the vicinity to trace the child’s movements.
An FIR was registered at Jaffrabad police station under Section 137(2) of the BNS, and ongoing efforts were made to locate the girl. Thanks to diligent work, systematic CCTV analysis, and coordinated field searches, the police team successfully found the missing child and ensured her safety.
After completing the necessary legal formalities, the police reunited the girl with her relieved parents. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding her disappearance is still ongoing.
