CTET Exam 2026: Essential Guidelines and Vaishali Re-Exam Update

City, February 8: Today marks the second day of the CTET 2026 examination. The exam is being conducted in two shifts. The first shift for Paper-2 runs from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, while the second shift for Paper-1 is scheduled from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

On February 7th, the CBSE successfully conducted the CTET exam in two shifts. Over 25 lakh candidates have registered to participate. Candidates can download their CTET 2026 admit cards from the official website, ctet.nic.in. The admit cards were released on February 5th. Strict security measures are in place at all examination centers.

Dress Code Mistakes to Avoid:

Candidates should refrain from wearing heavily embroidered clothes, large buttons, brooches, or full-sleeved shirts. Jewelry such as earrings, rings, nose rings, or necklaces is also prohibited. Many candidates faced delays on February 7th due to these items being confiscated. It is advisable to wear sandals or slippers, as shoes with thick soles are not allowed.

Mandatory Items to Bring:

– CTET admit card
Aadhaar card or any government-issued photo ID (original)
– Black or blue transparent ballpoint pen
– Two passport-size photographs

Prohibited Items:

Candidates must not carry mobile phones, digital watches, wallets, belts, pieces of paper, or pencil boxes.

The CBSE CTET 2026 Shift 1 exam for Paper-2 commenced at 9:30 AM and will last for 2.5 hours, concluding at 12 PM. This year, a total of 25,30,436 candidates have registered for the CTET.

Information from CBSE HQ:

According to the CBSE, out of 1803 examination centers nationwide, Paper-2 was successfully conducted at 1801 centers. Unfortunately, the exam could not take place at two centers in Vaishali (Hajipur) due to unforeseen circumstances. A re-examination for the affected candidates will be scheduled within 15 days, with details communicated separately. The CBSE regrets any inconvenience caused to these candidates.
