Controversy Surrounds Badshahs Tattiri as Remixes Flood YouTube

Mumbai, March 9: Punjabi and Bollywood singer-rapper Badshah remains embroiled in controversy as multiple FIRs have been filed against his recently released song ‘Tattiri’ in Haryana.

A lookout notice has been issued against the singer, although he has already apologized to the people of Haryana via social media. Despite the song being removed from all YouTube platforms, ‘Tattiri’ continues to surge in popularity, with uploads appearing across various platforms and accounts.

Interestingly, ‘Tattiri’ is not an original song by Badshah. Its beats and lyrics are inspired by a traditional Haryana folk song, which was originally released three years ago and sung by Fauji Karambeer and Simran Jaglan. Following the controversy, numerous videos of the original song have surfaced on YouTube, causing the older track to go viral on social media. Some videos replicate scenes from Badshah’s version, while others utilize AI technology.

The remixes do not include Badshah’s lyrics but instead feature the original lyrics, with modifications made to the music. Although ‘Tattiri’ has been banned, the controversy has inadvertently benefited the original song, generating significant buzz across all social media platforms.

The original song revolves around blessings, mentioning the significance of Tattiri in the context of weddings and the birth of a boy. In Haryanvi folklore and culture, Tattiri holds emotional and religious importance. It is believed that the arrival of Tattiri signifies good news, and it is even referenced in the Mahabharata.
