New Delhi, May 20: Rahul Gandhi’s recent comments have sparked a fierce backlash from BJP and its allies. They argue that such language undermines political decorum and democratic dignity, demanding a public apology. Uttar Pradesh Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh stated that Rahul will receive a response during his next visit to Raebareli.
BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh criticized Gandhi, suggesting he speaks out of frustration and despair, sometimes against the nation and the Indian Army. Chugh accused Gandhi of making baseless statements to please foreign influences, including George Soros and Chinese leaders, while attacking India’s cultural heritage and institutions.
Chugh further claimed that Gandhi has become a habitual offender with anti-India sentiments. He asserted that the public will never forgive Gandhi for his irresponsible actions, noting that he has lost 100 elections and seems prepared to lose 100 more.
Chirag Paswan, leader of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), condemned Gandhi’s remarks on social media, stating that the Prime Minister represents 1.4 billion people and such disrespectful language is unfortunate. He emphasized that while political differences exist, respect for constitutional positions is a responsibility of all representatives.
Central Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi also launched a sharp attack on Gandhi, asserting that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are not traitors but self-respecting leaders. Manjhi criticized Gandhi for using inappropriate language after the Congress party’s poor performance in four out of five state elections, suggesting that such behavior reflects the party’s decline.
Delhi Government Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh remarked that Gandhi’s use of offensive language reveals his political desperation. He noted that when leaders lack substantial issues and achievements, they resort to personal attacks. Singh added that the public now prioritizes development and trust over negative politics.
Minister Kapil Mishra from the Delhi Government targeted Gandhi and the Gandhi family, stating they struggle without power, and Gandhi’s comments are a result of this desperation.
BJP MP and spokesperson Dr. Sudhanshu Trivedi characterized Gandhi’s remarks as an example of Congress’s “frustrated politics.” He highlighted that the leadership responsible for giving India a new global identity and taking strong action against terrorism deserves respect, not derogatory remarks. Trivedi called for Gandhi to publicly apologize.
Jammu and Kashmir BJP leader Ravinder Raina questioned who betrayed the country, pointing out Congress’s historical actions, including the partition and the massacre of Sikhs. He claimed that Congress has allied with anti-national forces, making them the real traitors.
Punjab BJP leader Avinash Rai Khanna stated that Gandhi’s comments reflect a narrow mindset, as PM Modi and Home Minister Shah have elevated India’s name globally through their work. He criticized Gandhi for using disrespectful language instead of honoring their contributions.
Uttar Pradesh Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh labeled Gandhi as an “accidental leader,” arguing that he should focus on development rather than insulting the Prime Minister during his visits. Singh expressed disappointment over Gandhi’s remarks in Raebareli, suggesting that if he were present, he would respond firmly.
Singh concluded by stating that the next time Gandhi visits Raebareli, he will receive an appropriate response.
