
Dehradun, June 18: In light of the upcoming assembly elections in Uttarakhand, Congress has intensified its organizational activities. Congress MP and Uttarakhand in-charge Kumari Shelja held a crucial meeting in Dehradun on Wednesday with state Congress’s affiliated organizations, department heads, and cell presidents. The discussion focused on strengthening the grassroots organization, effectively raising public issues, and strategizing for upcoming events.
Present at the meeting were special invitee member of the Congress Working Committee and in-charge of the organizational creation campaign, Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy, along with co-in-charges Surendra Sharma and Manoj Yadav, and Ganesh Godiyal, president of the Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee. The leaders emphasized the need for better coordination among party workers while reviewing the current state of the organization.
During her two-day visit to Dehradun, Kumari Shelja stated that the party is consistently working towards organizational strength. She mentioned that meetings are being held with all district presidents, senior leaders, and various office bearers to prepare for upcoming strategies. Central in-charge Congress leaders and other senior members are actively involved in this process.
Kumari Shelja emphasized that these meetings are part of the party’s regular organizational activities. However, with elections approaching, there is a pressing need to make the organization more active and effective. She stated that Congress aims to strengthen its reach at the booth level to robustly address public issues. She expressed confidence that all party leaders and workers will work together in harmony.
When asked about the Ram Mandir fund controversy, Kumari Shelja remarked that this issue is related to the saint community. Congress officials and district presidents stand with the saints and maintain ongoing dialogue with them. She added that the party regularly holds meetings on various topics and is now preparing to engage more strongly with the public in light of the electoral atmosphere.
