Chennai, February 23: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin is set to visit Kanyakumari on February 24. During his visit, he will participate in several official events and inaugurate key development projects.
R. Mahesh, the DMK secretary for Kanyakumari East and the mayor of Nagercoil, announced that CM Stalin will depart from Chennai by private jet at 10 AM and arrive at Thoothukudi Airport.
Following his arrival, the Chief Minister will travel by road to Kanyakumari district. He will be welcomed at the Mahadhanpuram junction in Agastiswaram municipality at 11 AM. A reception ceremony will be organized by the DMK’s Kanyakumari East district unit, led by R. Mahesh.
Later, CM Stalin will inaugurate the Silver Jubilee Memorial Arch, built at a cost of ₹1.45 crore, near the Thiruvalluvar statue close to the government guest house in Kanyakumari. This arch aims to enhance the tourism and cultural significance of the historic site.
At 5:30 PM, CM Stalin will unveil a statue of M. Karunanidhi in Kalladivilai, Nagercoil. Then, at 6:30 PM, he will unveil a statue of Ponnappa Nadar at the S.C.P. Ramasamy Iyer Memorial Park located at Neppamoodu Junction in Nagercoil.
The Chief Minister will stay overnight at the government guest house in Nagercoil. On February 25, he will participate in a significant government event at the Concordia School ground in Nagercoil at 9 AM.
During this event, he will inaugurate completed development projects and lay the foundation for several new initiatives under various state welfare schemes. After the program, CM Stalin will travel by road to Thoothukudi Airport and depart for Chennai at 12:30 PM.
The district unit has called upon party officials at all levels, including state and district executives, general council members, and branch secretaries, to participate in all events during CM Stalin’s visit.
