RJD Leader Shakti Singh Yadav Criticizes BJP, Claims Unannounced Emergency in India

Patna, October 10 (Daily Kiran) : Shakti Singh Yadav, a prominent leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), launched a scathing attack on the central government and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) during a recent address in Patna. His comments came in the wake of the police arresting Abhijit Dipke ahead of a protest organized by the Citizens for Justice and Peace (CJP) in Delhi. Yadav accused the government of using its power to suppress dissent, stating that the country is experiencing conditions akin to an unannounced emergency, which has fueled public outrage against the administration.

In response to BJP President Nitin Naveen’s claims that the opposition is attempting to destabilize the government, Yadav argued that it is the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) that is creating instability. He pointed to a recent event in Varanasi, Prime Minister Modi’s constituency, where many seats remained empty despite the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Yadav asserted that the BJP should focus on its governance rather than casting blame on others.

Yadav also highlighted the cancellation of trains in Delhi, claiming that such disruptions were unprecedented even during the Emergency period. He expressed concern that the government is fearful of public discontent, suggesting that the people will soon remove it from power.

Discussing the arrest of Abhijit Dipke, Yadav noted that the protest has unsettled the power establishment. He stated that the Mahagathbandhan’s movement is gaining momentum from Delhi to Patna and beyond, with demonstrators being stopped several kilometers away from Jantar Mantar. He warned that public anger cannot be contained for long and demanded the resignation of Gyanesh Kumar, threatening that dissatisfaction would also turn against Prime Minister Modi if no action is taken.

Regarding Rahul Gandhi‘s upcoming student engagement in Chennai, Yadav emphasized that issues related to the electoral process and vote theft have reached the youth. He accused the Election Commission of favoring the BJP and praised Gandhi for raising democratic concerns across various states. Yadav condemned the government’s attempts to crush movements through police force, asserting that public outrage will overcome all obstacles.

On the topic of the NDA’s meeting concerning the Bihar Legislative Council elections, Yadav dismissed its significance, stating that it would not lead to any substantial outcomes. He noted that there is internal competition between BJP and Janata Dal (United) candidates, while the RJD remains focused on its goals. Yadav expressed confidence that his party will achieve victory in the upcoming elections.
