Chinas Electronics and Information Manufacturing Sector Sees 18.5% Revenue Growth

Beijing, August 3: China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has reported significant growth in the electronics and information manufacturing sector during the first half of this year. The industry has maintained steady production, stable exports, and continuous profit increases, alongside rising investments.

In the first half of this year, the added value of the electronic information manufacturing industry, exceeding designated size, grew by 14.8% compared to the same period last year. This growth outpaced the industrial and high-tech manufacturing sectors, which saw increases of 9.4% and 1.5%, respectively.

Among key products, the production of industrial robots reached 538,000 units, marking a 28% increase from the previous year. Additionally, the output of new energy vehicles climbed to 7.399 million units, reflecting a 6% rise year-on-year.

Exports of electronic information products remained stable and showed improvement, with the cumulative export value increasing by 7.8% compared to the same period last year. This figure is also 1.7% higher than the January to May comparison.
