The National Security Bureau’s report indicates that China is trying to entice Taiwan’s high-tech industry to initiate or sustain operations. The technology sector includes artificial intelligence and semiconductors.
The report states, “China is using indirect channels to attract Taiwan’s talent, steal technology, and purchase controlled goods. The goal is to obtain essential core technologies and products, such as Taiwan’s advanced-process chips, to break international technological control.”
