Ashok Chaudhary Responds to Kharges Controversial Remarks

Patna, April 7: Bihar Minister Ashok Chaudhary has hit back at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s controversial statement regarding the BJP. Chaudhary stated that such remarks hold no significance.

In an interview with a news agency, Chaudhary remarked, “It seems Kharge has aged. What has happened to him? A senior leader should not make such statements.”

Regarding the proposal against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar being rejected by both houses of Parliament, Chaudhary said, “It was obviously going to be dismissed. This is completely absurd. They cannot bring a notice against the Chief Election Commissioner just like that. It was bound to be rejected.”

On West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s comments about Pahalgam, Chaudhary stated, “She has gone mad. Did the BJP orchestrate the Pahalgam attack? What is she trying to prove with such statements?”

He emphasized that the Election Commission should look into this matter, as people are making statements at will. “Where is Pahalgam, and where is Kolkata?” he questioned.

Chaudhary also expressed support for the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), stating that there should be a single law for everyone in the country. “Everyone should have equal rights and opportunities, regardless of religion or caste. Additionally, there should be ‘One Nation, One Election.’ With elections happening in multiple states, everyone gets caught up in the electoral process. If we want to become a major global economy, we need to focus on development,” he added.

He pointed out that with assembly elections in five states, all political parties are preoccupied. “If we remain in election mode throughout the year, how will development occur? That is why ‘One Nation, One Election’ should be implemented.”
