Bus and Pickup Collision in Rajsamand: Two Drivers Dead, Five Passengers Injured

Rajsamand, 23 August (Kiran News). In the Charbhuja police station area of the district, a severe collision occurred early Saturday morning near the Jal Wale Balaji Temple in Amartiya village between a roadways bus and a pickup vehicle. Both drivers lost their lives in the accident, while five passengers travelling in the roadways bus were injured.

According to information, around 5 AM, a roadways bus traveling from Jaipur to Udaipur collided head-on with an oncoming pickup loaded with cold drinks. The collision was so intense that the bus dragged the pickup for nearly a hundred feet. After the crash, both vehicles veered off the road and fell into a ditch. Pickup driver Nanuram died on the spot, his body badly trapped in the vehicle, which took an hour to extricate. The roadways bus driver, Ladulal Rebari, son of Maisalal, resident of Sagwara (Jalore), was rushed in critical condition to Charbhuja CHC, where doctors declared him dead.

At the time of the accident, about 30 passengers were on board the bus. Five passengers sustained injuries and were taken to hospital by Charbhuja police with the help of an ambulance. All injured are under treatment. The bodies of the deceased have been placed in the mortuary at Charbhuja Hospital.
