US Ambassador Sergio Gor Visits Darjeeling, Celebrating India-US Friendship

Darjeeling, September 10 (Daily Kiran) : US Ambassador Sergio Gor is currently visiting Darjeeling, where he is being hosted by Harsh V. Shringla, a Member of Parliament and former Foreign Secretary. Their meeting has become a beautiful representation of the friendship between India and the United States amidst the scenic mountains.

Shringla shared images and experiences from the visit on social media platform X, expressing his joy and honor in welcoming Ambassador Gor to his residence, “Ivanhoe,” located near the famous Darjeeling Mall. He highlighted the special experience of treating Gor to the region’s renowned momos and Castleton first flush tea.

The visit was filled with memorable moments, from strolling through the mall to engaging conversations with promising local youth and a memorable ride on the iconic Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. Shringla remarked how wonderful it was to share the warmth, heritage, and spirit of Darjeeling with Ambassador Gor, bringing the India-US friendship to life in the hills.

Ambassador Gor also posted about the visit on X, recalling how Shringla was one of the first to warmly welcome him when he arrived in India. He expressed gratitude for the invitation to spend a day in one of the country’s most beautiful areas.
