Rewa, April 3: A shocking murder case has emerged near Lohiya Bridge in Rewa district, Madhya Pradesh. Police apprehended the suspect due to a clue from a severed shoe.

On March 30, authorities received a report about a woman’s decapitated body found in a field near the Lohiya Bridge. Upon arrival, the police began identifying the body, which was later confirmed to be that of Leelawati Patel, approximately 50 years old.

After extensive investigation, police discovered the woman’s head in a nearby field. They also found a significant amount of blood inside her home, indicating that she had been brutally murdered, likely with a sharp weapon.

The police registered a case against an unknown assailant and began their inquiry. During questioning, they became suspicious of a man named Raja Kevat, who lived nearby.

Raja was taken into custody for detailed interrogation regarding the incident. He confessed that he had entered Leelawati Patel’s home with the intent to steal. During the burglary, she woke up, and fearing that the theft would be reported, Raja killed her. To prevent identification, he decapitated her and discarded her head in different fields. The police tracked him down through the evidence left by the severed shoe.
