New Delhi, February 23: A wave of panic swept through the national capital on Monday after a bomb threat email was received, targeting the historic Red Fort and the Delhi Secretariat. The message was reportedly sent by a group associated with Khalistani separatists.

Upon receiving the bomb threat, the Delhi Police, fire brigade, and other security agencies quickly sprang into action, launching extensive search operations at both locations.

Senior police officials arrived at the scene, tightening security measures. The Red Fort complex was evacuated, and thorough checks were initiated both inside and outside the premises.

Employees at the Delhi Secretariat were promptly instructed to exit the building. Bomb disposal units and dog squads were deployed for inspections, but no suspicious items were found.

According to the Delhi Police, nothing was discovered during the searches at the Red Fort and the Secretariat. The areas were cleared for public safety. Investigations are underway to trace the origin of the email. Cyber cell teams are actively looking into the matter, and security agencies are monitoring the situation closely.

Officials have alerted the cyber cell. The police are investigating whether this is a prank or part of a larger conspiracy. So far, no suspicious items have been recovered, but security agencies remain on high alert.

Earlier on Monday, two prominent schools in the capital—Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan and Air Force Bal Bharati School on Lodhi Road—also received bomb threats via email. Following this information, police and Delhi Fire Service teams quickly arrived at the school premises, ensuring the safety of students and staff while conducting search operations. However, no suspicious items were found there either.

In recent days, several educational institutions in the capital have received similar threats. Recently, CRPF Public School in Dwarka, St. Thomas School, and DAV Centenary Public School in West Enclave were also threatened via email, but those threats were deemed false after investigations.
