UP Minister Jayveer Singh Critiques Akhilesh Yadavs Tenure, Claims No Mandate for SP

Lucknow, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh Minister Jayveer Singh has responded sharply to accusations made by Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav. Singh asserted that as long as Yadav’s tenure remains in the public’s memory, the people will not grant the SP a mandate to form a government in the state.

In a recent interview, Singh stated, “If Akhilesh Yadav reflects on his time from 2012 to 2017, he should feel ashamed. His administration was marked by chaos, with the slogan ‘Dekho Sapai Beti Ghabraayi’ symbolizing the disorder. His government promoted specific castes and communities, leading to a significant decline in law and order. During his tenure, Uttar Pradesh became known for riots and criminal activity.”

Singh contrasted Yadav’s leadership with the current government’s initiatives, such as the “One District, One Product” program, suggesting that during Yadav’s term, it was more about “One District, One Mafia.” He emphasized, “As long as Akhilesh Yadav’s tenure is remembered, the public will not grant a mandate for forming a government in Uttar Pradesh.”

Earlier, following the cancellation of a rally in Bulandshahr, Yadav accused the government of imposing restrictions on political gatherings.

Regarding the legal issues surrounding the Hajj Committee’s land, which involve former minister Azam Khan and four others, Singh clarified, “Investigative agencies are doing their job. The government is not involved. If there has been a violation of law or significant irregularities, the relevant agencies will address it.”

Additionally, Singh announced the official launch of the ‘Neem Karoli Baba Circuit’ by the Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department. He explained that this initiative aims to connect significant spiritual sites, from the Hanuman Setu Temple in Lucknow to Neem Karoli Baba’s birthplace in Akbarpur, and other important locations in Farrukhabad and Vrindavan. Singh stated that the government is committed to enhancing infrastructure, promoting tourism, and improving connectivity in these areas.
