BJP Welcomes Independent Candidates, Rajendra Rathore Critiques Congress

Jaipur, September 18 (Daily Kiran) : BJP leader Rajendra Rathore announced that the Delhi High Court has acknowledged his letter regarding a song from the series “Mirzapur.” He refuted allegations made by former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and asserted that the BJP showcased impressive results in the municipal elections.

Rathore commented on the controversy surrounding the “Mirzapur” song, stating, “The Delhi High Court made a commendable decision. I wrote to the chairman of the censor board, expressing that the portrayal of a song dedicated to Maharana Pratap, which associated it with violence and a gang, hurt the sentiments of those who respect him.”

Addressing Gehlot’s remarks, Rathore pointed out, “The number of winning councilors is clear to the public. If independent candidates are joining the BJP influenced by Bhajan Lal Sharma’s policies and urban development manifesto, why should we refuse their support? When faced with defeat, Congress leaders blame EVMs and other factors.”

He added, “If independent candidates voluntarily support the BJP, we will welcome them. If this causes discomfort to anyone, so be it. Congress’s true nature has been revealed across the nation. They are fragmented. During the municipal elections, prominent Congress leaders did not engage with the public, remaining confined to their home areas.”

Rathore also noted, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not celebrating his birthday; instead, the people of India are observing it as a service pledge. Why should Congress and Ashok Gehlot feel troubled when work related to public welfare is being carried out?”

Meanwhile, BJP state president Madan Rathore criticized statements made by Swara Bhaskar, asserting that those who complain about a lack of freedom of expression should feel shame for making offensive comments regarding the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. He challenged such individuals to speak about other religions, emphasizing that their audacity has grown due to the tolerance shown by others.
