Mumbai, June 15: Shri Raj Nair, spokesperson for the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), has strongly criticized Samajwadi Party (SP) MP Javed Ali Khan’s statement, which claimed that the majority community has become toxic. Nair asserted that such remarks indicate a significant loss of ground for the SP.
Speaking from Mumbai, Nair expressed confidence that the BJP will form the government in 2027, while the SP will be entirely eliminated. He accused the SP of perpetuating a politics of exploitation, operating under the influence of goons and mafia, and providing protection to criminals like Atiq Ahmed and Mukhtar Ansari.
Nair noted that when the SP’s Muslim-Yadav formula failed, they resorted to the PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) strategy. He emphasized that as the SP’s political foundation crumbles, Akhilesh Yadav is resorting to baseless and irresponsible statements from his Muslim leaders. The truth about the SP will be revealed in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in 2027, and their situation will be far worse compared to the last election.
In reference to the Ram Mandir donation controversy, Nair mentioned the ongoing SIT investigation. He stated that during a press conference on Sunday, the VHP’s international president, Alok Kumar, clarified the organization’s stance.
Nair highlighted the importance of the FIR case, noting that an SIT has been established and a report is expected within 15 days. He expressed confidence that if any wrongdoing is found, the Uttar Pradesh government will take appropriate action according to the law. Further discussions will follow the SIT report.
A significant political controversy has erupted in Kerala regarding the centenary celebrations of the association of three vice-chancellors. When questioned about this, Nair targeted Kerala Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan.
He condemned the pressure on the three vice-chancellors to apologize for attending the event, asserting that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is not a banned organization and operates within the framework of the Indian Constitution. He argued that anyone should be free to attend events of any organization, and it is inappropriate to pressure constitutional officeholders simply because the Congress or V.D. Satheesan oppose the RSS.
Nair concluded by stating that the Congress and the Kerala government are fearful of electoral losses, as the BJP’s vote share is increasing in several states, including Kerala. This fear is driving their actions.
