BJP Spokesperson Defends CM Mohan Yadav Against Opposition Allegations

Kolkata, June 24: BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev has firmly dismissed allegations against Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav related to a land scam, attributing them to the opposition’s frustration.

In an interview with a news agency on Wednesday, Shah Dev stated that CM Yadav has already responded to these accusations. He emphasized that the opposition is entirely disheartened and is resorting to such claims out of desperation. “If the opposition has any doubts, they should file a complaint. Then everything will be clarified,” he remarked.

Close associates of the Chief Minister believe that no wrongdoing has occurred and that all actions were in accordance with regulations. Shah Dev criticized the Congress party, claiming that their increasing frustration across various states has led to unfounded allegations against Yadav.

Additionally, the spokesperson addressed the report submitted by the SIT regarding the alleged donation scam at the Ram Temple. He asserted that their government is dedicated to the devotees of Lord Ram and that the SIT has been established to thoroughly investigate the matter. “If any theft related to the temple donations is uncovered, no accused will be spared. This is not a Congress government that denies the existence of Lord Ram; this is a BJP government that will not let any accused go unpunished,” he stated.

Shah Dev also responded to Maulana Arshad Madani’s comments on jihad, labeling them as nonsensical. “Jihad is a holy war. Tell me, what holy war is currently taking place? Those with a jihadist mindset interpret it as attacking Sanatan or engaging in love jihad. Such statements can only come from people with a frustrated mentality,” he added.

Regarding the All India Muslim Personal Law Board’s statements, he called them absurd, suggesting they aim to divide society and undermine constructive thinking. “Our government’s mantra is inclusive development for all,” he asserted.

He also commented on Ritabrata Banerjee’s statements, claiming that the real TMC is currently aligned with him, while only a few remain with Mamata Banerjee. Recently, some TMC MPs merged with a party in Tripura, indicating a shift in loyalty.

On the protests at Jantar Mantar, Shah Dev remarked that responding to them is pointless. “These individuals wished for disruptions in the NEET exam, but the government has tightened security to prevent any unpleasant incidents. Everything has gone smoothly, which is why they are facing difficulties,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya expressed strong objections to the term “kafir.” He stated that their government operates without discrimination and that anyone who considers them a “kafir” should not benefit from government schemes.

In response, Shah Dev reiterated that the BJP respects all religions and expects the same in return. He emphasized that no discrimination occurs based on religion when availing of central government schemes. “The Prime Minister has worked to alleviate the suffering of women through the Ujjwala scheme. Using terms like ‘kafir’ in such contexts is inappropriate,” he concluded.
