Patna, August 25: Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, the Leader of the Opposition in Bihar, has written a letter to Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary addressing the delays in various government recruitment exams, paper leaks, cancellations, and the postponement of results. He expressed that these issues have caused significant dissatisfaction and concern among millions of eligible candidates preparing for government jobs.
In his letter, Tejashwi mentioned that he recently met with protesting students at the Gardanibagh protest site in Patna to listen to their demands. He emphasized the need for the government to ensure transparency and timeliness in the recruitment process to strengthen the future of youth and the state’s educational and administrative systems. He called for the teacher recruitment exam TRE-4 to be conducted as a single examination and urged the implementation of a ‘one candidate, one result’ policy. Additionally, he demanded that the LET and BET exams be held regularly within a specified timeframe.
Tejashwi also called for an immediate end to the alleged discrimination against Hindi-speaking candidates in the Bihar Public Service Commission’s civil service main exams and interviews. He stressed the importance of complete transparency in all competitive examinations and urged measures to prevent irregularities in exams for positions such as constables, sub-inspectors, and others.
He has previously demanded a high-level independent investigation into controversial exams and strict action against those responsible, including alleged recruitment mafias. Furthermore, he requested regular appointments for vacant positions of assistant professors, age limit relaxations, strict adherence to reservation and domicile policies, and immediate decisions on the service protection of guest assistant professors.
In his letter, Tejashwi demanded that the dates for all pending exams, including BSSC Intermediate, CGL, ASO, BSO, Librarian, and Lekhpal, be announced soon to ensure a timely process. He also insisted on the mandatory issuance of an annual examination calendar for all competitive exams and the regularization of the academic session while ensuring the autonomy of universities.
Tejashwi asserted that the future of millions of students and youth in Bihar should be a top priority. He urged the government not to ignore the voices of protesting youth and to take immediate necessary actions. He warned that if their demands are not addressed, the unity of students and youth will compel the government to act.
