Attacks on Hindu Faith Becoming Fashionable, Says Acharya Pramod Krishnam

Haridwar, August 24: Acharya Pramod Krishnam, the head of Kalka Peeth, has expressed strong criticism regarding recent attacks on Hindu faith following an incident in Maharashtra where eggs were thrown during a Ganesh idol procession. He stated that insulting Hindus and undermining their beliefs has become a trend. “If there is any community that is the most tolerant in the world, it is Hindus. Yet, processions for Ganesh and Durga are being disrupted in Maharashtra,” he remarked.

Acharya Pramod Krishnam emphasized, “Attacking Hindu faith has become fashionable. Those who rise up insult Hindus and work to undermine their beliefs. If there is a community that is the weakest and most tolerant, it is Hindus. In Maharashtra, Ganesh processions are obstructed, and so are Durga processions.”

He noted that the disturbances seen in West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh are now occurring in Maharashtra. He praised the Chief Minister of Maharashtra as a patriot and a supporter of Sanatan values, urging him to take strict action against those committing such offenses.

“This is an era where insulting Hindus has become fashionable. The beliefs, traditions, and faith of Hindus are being disrespected everywhere. Whether in Maharashtra or Ayodhya, the way non-vegetarian feasts are being held during the month of Sawan and meat is being served at religious sites is truly disheartening,” he added.

Acharya Pramod Krishnam appealed to the government and the public, saying, “I urge all these meat-eating demonic forces to eat whatever they like, as India is free. However, please respect religious places and sentiments. I request the Government of India and state governments to impose a ban on meat at all centers of Hindu faith.”
