New Delhi, August 25: Pradeep Bhandari, the BJP’s national media co-in-charge and spokesperson, has made significant claims regarding Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Students’ Echo’ program. In a post on X, he stated that even Congress leaders view this initiative as merely a public relations stunt.
Bhandari wrote, “Congress leaders are exposing Rahul Gandhi’s Students’ Echo. They know it is just a PR stunt, which is why only 35% of them have posted about it.”
He provided statistics showing that out of 249 leaders, only 113 posted on X, 48 on Instagram, while 83 did not post at all.
Notable senior leaders, including Manish Tewari, Charanjit Singh Channi, and Ajay Maken, were mentioned as part of this group. Bhandari remarked, “While some in the media may praise it, senior Congress leaders understand that Rahul Gandhi has no real connection with the youth of India.”
According to the list shared by the BJP spokesperson, many prominent Congress Working Committee members have not shared anything about the program on social media.
The list includes leaders such as A.K. Antony, Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Ajay Maken, Akhilesh Prasad Singh, Ambika Soni, Anand Sharma, Charanjit Singh Channi, Gaikhangam, K.C. Venugopal, Salman Khurshid, Shashi Tharoor, Siddaramaiah, Tamradhwaj Sahu, and Vijay Inder Singla, who have not posted on either X or Instagram.
Some leaders only posted on X but not on Instagram, including Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, Avinash Pandey, Bhupesh Baghel, Damodar Raja Narasimha, Deepa Dasmunshi, Deepender Singh Hooda, Digvijaya Singh, Gaurav Gogoi, and Ghulam Ahmad Mir.
A few leaders posted on both platforms, such as Alka Lamba, Arif Naseem Khan, Balasaheb Thorat, and Srinivas BV.
Regarding AICC officials, several leaders, including Aarti Krishna, Bhupendra Maravi, Chandan Yadav, and Chetan Chauhan, also did not post.
The BJP has consistently labeled Rahul Gandhi’s youth outreach programs as PR exercises. As of now, there has been no official response from Congress regarding Bhandari’s post.
