Mumbai, October 1 (Daily Kiran) : Anand Dubey, the spokesperson for the India Bloc, responded sharply to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after they raised concerns about Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray‘s absence from a recent meeting. He suggested that the BJP should prioritize managing its own coalition. Dubey noted that their leaders participated via video conferencing and explained that they could not attend the meeting in Delhi due to preparations for a major protest against the Chief Election Commissioner scheduled for October 4.
In a conversation in Mumbai, Dubey stated that the opinions of the Shinde faction of Shiv Sena were not their concern. He emphasized unity among opposition parties and highlighted the need for a significant campaign against the Election Commission. He remarked that while meetings are a rarity for the NDA, the India Bloc continues to hold discussions and remains organized. Dubey further pointed out that the BJP should first address its internal issues.
Regarding comments made by Rahul Gandhi during the India Bloc meeting, Dubey reiterated that the efforts of opposition groups should be remembered. He expressed concern over the current crisis facing the Election Commission, which should be impartial but has become a puppet of certain political interests. He called for a collective struggle and warned that those who fail to fight would not be forgiven by history. Dubey insisted that all parties must engage in dialogue about the growing doubts surrounding the Election Commission.
In response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s remarks about drug issues in Punjab, Dubey questioned how long the NDA government has been in power and how much time it requires to address drug addiction. He suggested that Shah’s comments were politically motivated, given the upcoming elections in Punjab.
Lastly, Dubey praised Captain Smita Machhar for her bravery in safely landing a Flydubai flight, saving hundreds of passengers. He noted that her actions have garnered admiration from global leaders, underscoring India’s role as a protector and guide on the world stage.
