Ranchi, April 9: BJP leader Pratul Shahdev has made a bold claim regarding the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections. He stated that the BJP is poised to form a majority government in the state.
In a conversation in Ranchi, Shahdev asserted, “We are fully prepared to establish a majority government in West Bengal.” He alleged that there were approximately 9.1 million fake voters in the state, which he believes constituted the core voter base for Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He suggested that her victories were facilitated by local administration under her influence.
Shahdev pointed out the ongoing political control over the local bureaucracy, citing an incident in Malda where judicial officers were reportedly held for nine hours. He mentioned that the current Chief Secretary did not respond to calls from the Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court, prompting the Chief Justice to insist on a response. “The political manipulation of the bureaucracy will soon come to an end. We will identify and expel infiltrators from Bengal,” he declared.
He urged voters to participate in the elections actively, encouraging them to cast their votes in large numbers and contribute to the democratic process. Regarding the elections in three states, he noted, “In Kerala, we are set to achieve our best performance yet. Those who doubted our presence there now acknowledge that the BJP is contesting powerfully.”
Responding to opposition statements about the RSS, Shahdev emphasized that the RSS is a nationalist organization dedicated to serving the nation and the Sanatan community for over a century. He highlighted the commitment of RSS volunteers, especially during crises, stating they are always ready to sacrifice for the country. “During the COVID period, our workers continued their dedicated service selflessly,” he added.
