New Delhi, August 31: Reactions from NDA leaders have emerged following Uzbekistan’s decision to award Prime Minister Narendra Modi its highest honor. BJP leaders hailed this moment as a point of pride for India. In contrast, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi referred to the award as coming from “the land of Babur,” prompting a rebuttal from NDA leaders.
In Pune, MP Kirit Somaiya stated, “Narendra Modi has elevated Hindutva to such heights that the entire world respects him.”
Rajya Sabha member Lakshmi Verma in Raipur remarked, “Owaisi’s statements often go against the nation’s interests. Prime Minister Modi’s leadership has gained global recognition. He has received top honors from 36 countries, showcasing his stature as a global leader.”
Bihar government minister Mithilesh Tiwari in Patna commented, “All nations are influenced by Narendra Modi’s foreign policy. Wherever PM Modi goes, he is welcomed, enhancing the country’s pride.”
BJP leader Narottam Mishra in Bhopal said, “This is not just a matter of pride for the BJP, but for every Indian citizen. Modi is a world leader and the Prime Minister of India, honored by many countries. We all take pride in him.”
BJP leader Shah Nawaz Hussain added, “AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi seems displeased with the honor given to the Prime Minister. He mentions Babur, but if Babur came from that land, it is a different country. The highest honor for PM Modi is not just his recognition but also India’s. Across the globe, whether in Commonwealth nations or Islamic countries, PM Modi has received top honors.”
In Mumbai, Shiv Sena spokesperson Shaina NC remarked, “Asaduddin Owaisi sees Babur in everything, which is your problem. Uzbekistan respects the Prime Minister, and you have an issue with that, so you bring up Babur. Perhaps Babur is in your DNA, preventing you from thinking beyond that. Your thought process begins and ends there. When the RSS speaks of nationalism and viewing the world as one community, you still think Babur is your ideal.”
