Lucknow, May 29: BJP Rajya Sabha MP Brijlal has targeted both the Congress and the Trinamool Congress (TMC).
Discussing the resignation of Siddaramaiah from the Chief Minister position in Karnataka, Brijlal stated that Congress is facing a situation similar to that of TMC, as dissatisfaction with their leadership is widespread. He warned that a volcanic eruption is imminent within the party. He mentioned that Siddaramaiah would be replaced by D.K. Shivakumar, following Siddaramaiah’s rejection of a Rajya Sabha position. “A similar explosion is about to occur in Congress as it did in TMC,” he asserted.
Brijlal also criticized Mamata Banerjee, stating that she considered herself self-proclaimed. He questioned her current state, suggesting that Congress is heading towards a similar fate. “I have extensive knowledge about West Bengal. I visited Bengal five times during the atrocities of the Mamata government. I was the head of the MPs’ team three times. At that time, Bengal was under a jungle raj, with infiltrators altering the state’s demographics and committing atrocities against Hindus,” he explained.
He further noted that the Indian government had requested land for fencing along the border, which the Mamata government denied. However, once the government changed, land was provided for fencing. A tunnel is being constructed beneath the Chicken Neck, which has been handed over to the Indian government, granting the BSF authority over it. “In this country, infiltrators have no right to stay. They must leave not just Bengal, but the entire country,” he emphasized.
Brijlal stated that India has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. He pointed out that after attacks in several countries, people began to understand the gravity of terrorism. “Some countries protect terrorists. Through ‘Operation Sindoor’, we have sent a clear message that if anyone promotes terrorism, we will take action within their territory,” he concluded.
