Lucknow, August 23: BJP Rajya Sabha MPs Brijlal and Rakesh Tripathi have targeted Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav over his recent comments.
In a conversation, Brijlal responded to Yadav’s “Go to Pakistan” remark, stating that the BJP is a party that teaches Pakistan a lesson. He emphasized that the Congress Party, with which Yadav has allied, is responsible for creating Pakistan. Brijlal recalled that when Yadav was Chief Minister, he withdrew 14 charge sheets against terrorists, showcasing the extent of appeasement politics. He condemned Yadav’s statements vehemently.
Regarding Yadav’s comments about breaking up MPs, Brijlal remarked that Yadav has exposed his own dynastic politics. He suggested that for Yadav, the PDA stands for “Family Development Authority.” He warned that the narrative promoted by Yadav primarily benefits his family, leaving backward classes, Dalits, and minorities on alert.
BJP leader Rakesh Tripathi added, “Is there anything more shameful than this on a public platform? India is a democracy, but they are attempting to establish a political dynasty where only members of their family will represent the party.” He expressed disappointment at such public statements.
On Yadav’s remarks about Jayant Chaudhary, Tripathi noted that Yadav is concerned because he feels isolated and troubled. He believes that the Congress Party is a burden, and no matter how many seats they are offered, they will lose. Yadav is trying to keep his options open by reaching out to figures like Om Prakash Rajbhar and Jayant Chaudhary.
Tripathi also commented on Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s visit to Uttar Pradesh, stating that with assembly elections approaching in Uttar Pradesh and five other states, it is natural for the Election Commission to prepare for the elections.
