BJP Leader Zafar Islam Criticizes CM Mamata Banerjees Misleading Statements

New Delhi, March 3: BJP leader Zafar Islam has sharply criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, claiming she is misleading the public.

In an interview with a news agency in New Delhi, Islam stated that the Election Commission is rectifying the voter list through the Special Identification Register (SIR), and the BJP supports this initiative. He emphasized the need for a clean and accurate voter list that includes legitimate voters eligible to vote in the assembly elections. According to Islam, Banerjee does not want this purification process. He noted that there are provisions to reinstate names that were removed, and those who were not valid voters should welcome their removal. However, he accused her of misleading people for the sake of vote bank politics.

Regarding Congress leader Sonia Gandhi’s questions about the central government’s stance on the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei, Islam remarked that Gandhi may not have read the Prime Minister’s tweet. He pointed out that the Prime Minister clearly advocated for peace and stated that diplomacy and dialogue should prioritize tranquility and harmony. He criticized the opposition for merely raising their voices and disrupting the House, asserting that Gandhi’s comments were inappropriate.

BJP spokesperson Ajay Alok added that whatever Mamata Banerjee claims will be considered true, while everything else is deemed false. He questioned how this could be possible, noting that she has historically won elections based on fraudulent voters. Now that these names have been removed from the voter list, she is in distress. Alok stated that no matter how much Banerjee protests, it will not change the situation.

On Sonia Gandhi’s article, Alok asserted that it is indeed a global issue, and India cannot remain unaffected. He described Gandhi’s writing as influenced by bias and motivated by vote bank politics. He emphasized that foreign policy is not a party agenda but a national one, urging Congress not to impose its views.
