BJP Leader Defends Party Amid Rebellion in TMC and Shiv Sena-UBT

Patna, June 17: Discussions are swirling about several MPs rebelling from the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal and the Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray in Maharashtra. In response to allegations that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is attempting to poach members from other parties, Bihar state president Sanjay Sarawagi defended the BJP, stating, “The BJP does not break parties.”

Sarawagi elaborated, “Look at what happened in West Bengal. After 15 years of Mamata Banerjee’s anti-people policies, many MPs believe they cannot win again on the TMC’s election symbol. There is significant public discontent against Mamata Banerjee and the TMC, which is why leaders are leaving the party. If they join NDA allies, it will strengthen the NDA and its government. We welcome this.”

He continued, “In Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena emerged from Balasaheb Thackeray’s Hindutva ideology. Today, the Shiv Sena (UBT) has allied with Congress, while Balasaheb Thackeray was a staunch opponent of Congress and its policies. Consequently, there is also unrest there, leading to leaders leaving the party. If leaders are joining the NDA, it will only strengthen the NDA government, and we welcome such developments.”

Notably, around 20 MPs have rebelled against Mamata Banerjee in the TMC. Meanwhile, there are speculations about six MPs rebelling from Shiv Sena-UBT. Reports suggest that the rebel MPs have also met with the Lok Sabha Speaker in Delhi.

During this time, Sanjay Sarawagi also addressed the dispute between Faizal Khan (Khan Sir) and Roshan Anand in Patna. He stated, “Anyone who breaks the law will face action from the government. Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary is closely monitoring such matters. No one who breaks the law will be spared, and the government will take appropriate action.”

Regarding the NEET exam, Sarawagi mentioned, “Strict action has been taken concerning the NEET paper leak. All possible security measures are being implemented for the examinations. In light of potential paper leaks, apps have been shut down. The central government is fully committed to conducting the exam properly.”

On assistance camps for the needy, the Bihar BJP president said, “These camps will be held on the first and third Tuesdays of every month in two or three panchayats of all blocks in the state. Those with issues can submit written applications at the camps. Officials are required to process these applications within 30 days. If they fail to do so, they will automatically be suspended on the 31st day. Therefore, aware citizens are attending these camps.”

He added that two-day camps are also being organized across all blocks in the state to commemorate the central government’s 12 years in office. Citizens can apply for central and state schemes at these camps. Thus, all the camps being held are in the interest of the common people of Bihar.
