Patna, June 25: Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal recently addressed the significance of Constitution Murder Day, the Bharat Tiwari murder case, and the successful organization of the NEET exam. He stated that the BJP observes ‘Constitution Murder Day’ annually to ensure the public does not forget the Emergency.
Reflecting on the 51st anniversary of the Emergency, Jaiswal remarked, “The period of June 1975 marks a dark chapter during the Congress and Indira Gandhi‘s rule, when democracy was effectively murdered. The nation can never forget this. Take West Bengal as an example; for many years under Mamata Banerjee’s governance, reports of violence persisted. Nevertheless, the BJP and NDA government did not topple the elected government there nor imposed President’s Rule. The way democracy was dismantled in 1975 and the rights of the people were stripped away will always be remembered, which is why we observe this day as ‘Constitution Murder Day’.”
On the successful re-examination of NEET, Jaiswal praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for commending the entire team. He noted, “Foreign agencies, Instagram, Telegram, Facebook, and other platforms were used to spread misinformation regarding this matter. The government conducted the NEET re-examination with great care, and it was successfully completed. Organizing such an exam in a country with a population of 1.4 billion is truly commendable.”
Regarding the Bihar Cabinet’s approval to appoint retired Justice Vinod Kumar Sinha to investigate the Bharat Tiwari murder case, he stated, “The judicial inquiry was approved during Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting. A High Court judge will now investigate this matter. Action will be taken against anyone found guilty in the investigation.”
On NCERT’s decision to include Vedas in the Class 9 curriculum, Jaiswal commented, “It is a good thing to study our eternal culture. If we forget our culture, how will the country survive?”
