Morena, June 27: A tragic incident unfolded in Morena district of Madhya Pradesh on Saturday, leaving the community in shock. A man allegedly murdered his wife and two children with an axe before taking his own life by jumping in front of a train. The entire village is in mourning, and the family members are devastated.
The incident occurred in Kishanpur village, under the jurisdiction of the Mata Basaiya police station. The deceased have been identified as Balram Kushwaha, his wife Ravita, and their two sons, Devu and Aarav. Upon receiving the news, police and senior officials rushed to the scene, turning the area into a police encampment. The bodies have been seized and sent for post-mortem, and an investigation has commenced.
Ravita’s father, Malkhan Kushwaha, revealed that the family had recently hosted a Bhagwat Katha, where the entire family participated. During the event, Balram had reportedly become angry and physically assaulted Ravita over some dance and music.
It is alleged that Balram returned home under the influence of alcohol and killed his wife and two children with an axe. He then committed suicide by jumping in front of a train near Shikarpur crossing. The police have not yet officially confirmed the reasons behind the murders, but they are investigating based on the family’s allegations.
Following the incident, Morena Superintendent of Police Dharmraj Meena also arrived at the scene. He informed the media, “We received a report on Saturday morning about the bodies of a woman and two children found inside a house in Kishanpur village. The police and FSL team arrived for investigation. Balram’s body was also found near the railway track.”
SP Dharmraj Meena stated that, at first glance, the case appears to be related to the woman’s character, which may have led Balram to commit the heinous act. Afterward, he allegedly attacked his sleeping children before taking his life on the railway tracks. The investigation is ongoing.
