New Delhi, June 20: A review meeting was held to assess the effective implementation of various welfare schemes operated by the Social Welfare Department in Nawada district. Under the guidance of District Magistrate Ravi Prakash, the meeting took place in the office of the Deputy Development Commissioner (DDC). The progress of the department’s various schemes and programs was thoroughly evaluated.

During the meeting, officials discussed the current status of the schemes, the benefits being provided to beneficiaries, pending cases, and the challenges faced in implementation. Special emphasis was placed on social security pension schemes. The assessment included the Chief Minister‘s Old Age Pension Scheme, the Chief Minister’s Disability Pension Scheme, the Chief Minister’s Widow Pension Scheme, and other pension programs under the National Social Assistance Program.

The Deputy Development Commissioner instructed all relevant officials present at the meeting to ensure that eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of the schemes with complete transparency and in a timely manner. Instructions were given to expedite the processing of pending applications and to regularly monitor the schemes.

He urged officials to maintain continuous oversight at the regional level and ensure prompt resolution of beneficiaries’ issues. The DDC stated that the government’s welfare schemes aim to provide social and economic security to the vulnerable, marginalized, and needy sections of society.
