Free DTC Travel for NEET UG 2026 Candidates Announced by Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta

New Delhi, June 20: On the eve of the re-examination for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2026, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that all candidates will be allowed free travel on DTC buses this Sunday. Family members can wait in special cooling zones outside all 97 examination centers.

Wishing the students and their families good luck for the medical entrance exam, Chief Minister Gupta emphasized that the Delhi government has taken measures to ensure that no family faces unnecessary hardships related to transportation, heat, or long waits on exam day.

To avail of the free travel on DTC buses, candidates must show their valid NEET admit card to the bus conductor.

The Chief Minister noted that a total of 97 examination centers have been established in the city, and the district administration is setting up special cooling zones near all these centers.

This is the first time special waiting arrangements have been made considering the convenience of students as well as their parents and family members.

Chief Minister Gupta pointed out that while candidates are inside the examination centers, the concerns of parents waiting outside for hours often go unheard, leading to discomfort in the heat.

Understanding this human aspect, the Delhi government has created special cooling zones around the examination centers, where parents can sit and relax. These zones will also provide clean drinking water, lime water, ORS, tea, and first aid assistance.

The Chief Minister reiterated the Delhi government’s commitment to providing every possible support and facility to students during their education and competitive exams.

She stated that when parents feel comfortable and assured, it positively impacts the students, allowing them to approach the exam with greater confidence.
