Bihars Nawada DM Urges Officials to Accelerate Census Work

Nawada, May 9: In Nawada, Bihar, a crucial meeting was held on Saturday at the DRDA auditorium under the leadership of District Magistrate Ravi Prakash. The meeting aimed to review the progress of various departments, focusing on the census work. During the session, the District Magistrate provided essential guidelines while reviewing presentations from all departments.

The meeting included discussions on the HLB report and updates related to the census. The District Magistrate closely monitored the progress of the census work and noted that the completion rates in the Rajouli and Akbarpur areas were relatively low. He instructed the concerned officials to expedite the census efforts to meet the 100% target within the stipulated timeframe. Additionally, he emphasized the need for all officials and staff to coordinate effectively to enhance productivity.

Applications for support camps are being collected from all blocks, and the District Magistrate directed all present officials to ensure timely and quality execution of these applications by the respective departmental officers. He stressed that each application should be processed promptly to ensure that the public benefits from the schemes without delay. The meeting also involved detailed discussions on various points related to the revenue and technical departments, with necessary instructions for the swift resolution of pending issues.

During the review of the revenue department, it was reported that land availability for establishing degree colleges is being ensured—5 acres in rural areas and 2.5 acres in urban areas. Reports on land availability were requested from the Circle Officers of Kashi Chak, Kauakol, Nardi Ganj, Pakri Barawan, Govindpur, Meskaur, Narhat, Roh, and Sirdala. The District Magistrate instructed the Circle Officer of Kashi Chak to identify the land and submit the report promptly.

In discussions regarding the Bihar Livelihood Cow Protection and Management Scheme, it was highlighted that 5 acres of government land is being made available for the protection and management of stray cattle through livelihood groups across all blocks. The District Magistrate directed the DPM of Livelihood to ensure the establishment of a cow shelter for stray animals, coordinating with the relevant officials to implement the cow protection and management scheme effectively.

During the review of the Panchayati Raj department, issues related to the implementation of schemes in Panchayat government buildings were discussed. The buildings in Rewara Jagdishpur, Chandinama (Kashi Chak), Kauakol, Biju Bigaha (Meskaur), Samharigarh Roh, and Bajra (Hisua) were highlighted. The District Magistrate instructed the concerned Circle Officers to address these issues promptly.

In the agricultural department review, it was noted that the Agro Stay scheme includes a farmer registry, which serves as an essential digital platform for recording farmers’ identities, land records, crop details, and other necessary information. This system aims to provide farmers with transparent and accessible benefits from various government schemes and subsidies. The District Magistrate also took updates on the issues related to nilgai and wild boars, directing the Panchayati Raj Officer and the Forest Department of Nawada to resolve these ongoing problems.
