Patna, June 25: The controversy surrounding the Bharat Tiwari encounter case in Bihar is intensifying. Amid rising public demand for justice, a Mahapanchayat was held in Bilauti village, drawing a large crowd. A similar gathering took place in Ara, further heating the political and social climate.
After the Mahapanchayat in Ara, Union Minister Satish Chandra Dubey spoke to the media, noting the significant turnout. He confirmed that FIRs have been filed against all police officials involved, and the investigation is ongoing. Dubey emphasized that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found guilty, ensuring that no one will be spared.
In response to the situation, Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi stated that it would be inappropriate to comment at this time, as Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has already ordered a judicial inquiry. He stressed that any statements could potentially influence the investigation, urging everyone to exercise restraint.
Bihar’s Cooperation Minister Ramkripal Yadav also addressed the issue, stating that the government has initiated swift action and that a judicial inquiry has been ordered. He mentioned that the truth will emerge post-investigation, and strict measures will be taken against the guilty parties. Following the filing of FIRs against police officials, he noted that the roles of the SDPO and the station officer appear suspicious, warranting further action.
Meanwhile, Minister Ashok Chaudhary remarked that he has no direct involvement in this matter. He acknowledged that people are expressing their emotions and opinions, which is acceptable.
