Mumbai, June 3: In the wake of a violent incident involving the popular educator Khan Sir’s coaching institute in Patna, the Bihar government has announced plans to create a policy regulating coaching operators. Bihar’s Education Minister Mithilesh Tiwari made this announcement on Wednesday, emphasizing the need to maintain law and order during this competitive era.
Speaking to the media, he stressed the importance of a thorough investigation into the attacks on coaching institutes. He warned that if these institutions continue to create such situations amid competition, it could lead to a breakdown of law and order, necessitating the formulation of a policy to prevent it.
Tiwari confirmed that a policy for coaching operators would be developed, which would include measures to regulate their activities. Once the policy is in place, violators will face action. He also made it clear that public opinion would be sought before finalizing the policy.
Additionally, he mentioned that a policy regarding the transfer of teachers would also be established, ensuring no policy is created without community input. The new coaching policy is expected to be finalized within the next three months.
The controversy arose after allegations of vandalism and assault involving the Khan Global Studies coaching institute, linked to the nearby Gyan Bindu Coaching. Three individuals, including Gyan Bindu’s director, Roshan Anand, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
Police are currently interrogating all suspects. According to reports, around 10:10 PM on Tuesday, information was received regarding stone-pelting and vandalism at Khan Global Studies. Upon arrival, police gathered statements from nearby residents and reviewed CCTV footage, which revealed that 15 to 20 individuals associated with Gyan Bindu Coaching were involved in the attack.
