Bihar Clears Path for Recruitment of 32,388 Teachers Under TRE-4

Patna, July 29: A significant update has emerged for candidates preparing for teacher recruitment in Bihar. The state government has advanced the hiring process for 32,388 teachers under the Teacher Recruitment Examination (TRE-4) by sending a petition to the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC). Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary shared this information on the social media platform ‘X’ on Wednesday.

CM Chaudhary described this move as a “historic gift” for the youth of Bihar, emphasizing that it is a crucial step towards achieving quality education, creating job opportunities, and realizing the vision of a developed Bihar. He stated that the state government is continuously working to provide more employment opportunities for the youth and elevate the education system.

In his post, he noted that a total of 32,388 positions will be filled under TRE-4. This includes 3,847 posts for classes 1 to 5, 8,563 posts for classes 6 to 8, 3,877 posts for classes 9 to 10, and 16,101 posts for classes 11 to 12. Teacher candidates have long been demanding the initiation of the fourth phase of the recruitment process, leading to multiple protests and movements organized by various student and candidate groups.

Candidates expressed that many were left in confusion due to the delay in the TRE-4 notification, even after the completion of previous recruitment phases. With the education department now sending the petition to BPSC, it is anticipated that the commission will soon issue a notification regarding the recruitment process. Following this, the application, examination, and appointment procedures will progress.

The state government asserts that these new appointments will enhance the availability of teachers in government schools, thereby strengthening the education system. Additionally, a large number of youths will have the opportunity to enter government service. There is a palpable excitement among teacher candidates regarding this decision, with their eyes now set on the examination date to be announced by BPSC.
