Strengthening Ties: Raksha Bandhan Celebrated at Israeli Embassy

New Delhi, August 28: On Raksha Bandhan, India and Israel showcased their enduring relationship. At the Israeli Embassy in New Delhi, political advisor and young diplomat Nittai Ben-Haim received rakhi from Indian sisters.

The embassy highlighted this occasion as a symbol of the strong ties between the two nations. In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, they shared a video of the sisters tying rakhi, stating, “India + Israel = a bond of strong and beautiful friendship!”

Nittai Ben-Haim also emphasized the significance of the rakhi ceremony, noting that it reflects the strong and beautiful relationship between India and Israel. He remarked that the bond of brotherhood and sisterhood mirrors the robust connection shared by both countries.

In his post on ‘X’, Nittai Ben-Haim extended Raksha Bandhan wishes, saying, “The relationship between siblings is one of care, companionship, and trust. Similarly, the relationship between Israel and India is based on mutual support and friendship.”

After the rakhi ceremony, Nittai Ben-Haim presented gifts to the Indian sisters, further celebrating the occasion.

Both nations have consistently expressed their commitment to a strong friendship. Previously, Israel’s ambassador to India, Reuven Azar, discussed the six pillars and values underpinning the strong relationship between the two countries. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in promoting these shared values, which requires not only dialogue but also investment in concrete initiatives and meaningful outcomes.
