
New Delhi, August 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan paid tribute to Mahatma Ayyankali and Sri Narayana Guru on their birth anniversary. The Prime Minister remembered Mahatma Ayyankali as a great champion of social justice, dedicating his life to the empowerment and welfare of marginalized communities. He highlighted Ayyankali’s efforts to ensure educational opportunities for the underprivileged, improve the lives of agricultural laborers, and serve the poor.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister stated, “Tribute to Mahatma Ayyankali on his birth anniversary! He is remembered as a great advocate of social justice. His efforts to ensure educational opportunities for marginalized individuals, improve the lives of agricultural workers, and serve the poor are truly inspiring. His life empowers all those working for social empowerment.”
Prime Minister Modi also referred to Sri Narayana Guru as a great social reformer, spiritual leader, and thinker who dedicated his life to building a society based on respect and compassion.
In another post, he remarked, “Tribute to Sri Narayana Guru on his birth anniversary! As a great social reformer, spiritual leader, and thinker, he devoted his life to creating a society founded on respect and compassion. His thoughts have empowered countless individuals. His emphasis on education and knowledge is equally remarkable.”
Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan also paid homage to both Sri Narayana Guru and Mahatma Ayyankali on their birth anniversaries.
