Lucknow, September 8 (Daily Kiran) : Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, a minister in the Uttar Pradesh government and BJP leader, launched a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress during a recent press conference in Lucknow. He addressed several issues, including Akhilesh Yadav’s introduction of blue clothing for party workers, the new definition of PDA, AI-based political content, and actions related to a mosque in Saharanpur. He also touched on the potential alliance between SP and Congress ahead of the 2027 assembly elections, as well as Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Raebareli.
In response to Akhilesh Yadav’s launch of blue T-shirts and pants for party workers, Chaudhary stated that merely wearing blue does not honor the thoughts of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. He accused the SP of failing to respect Dalit leaders during its rule, claiming that the party engaged in the oppression of Dalits and attempted to rename monuments and institutions dedicated to them. Chaudhary criticized the SP’s student organization for alleged bias in government appointments, asserting that the public understands the political character of the SP.
Chaudhary also countered Yadav’s assertion that PDA stands for “love, compassion, and belonging,” arguing that the SP leader keeps changing its definition. He claimed that during the SP’s tenure, power and governance were restricted to one family and one caste.
Addressing concerns raised by Yadav about Uttar Pradesh’s economy, Chaudhary defended Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath‘s administration, stating that Uttar Pradesh has become one of the major economies in the country under his leadership. He highlighted improvements in electricity, water, roads, education, health, and law enforcement. In contrast to the limited power supply during the SP’s rule, he noted that farmers and businesses now enjoy better services.
Chaudhary also criticized the SP’s use of AI for political content, saying that disrespecting the Chief Minister through technology is an insult to the public mandate. He emphasized that while political opposition is valid, it should not involve humiliating elected representatives.
Regarding administrative actions related to a mosque in Saharanpur, Chaudhary explained that the government is acting against illegal encroachments and constructions, following court orders. He urged confidence in the judiciary, mentioning that archaeological investigations will clarify historical claims related to temples and religious sites.
Responding to Congress leader Ajay Rai’s statements, Chaudhary accused both the SP and Congress of engaging in riot politics. He referenced incidents in Maliana, Moradabad, and Sambhal, claiming that law and order deteriorated under previous governments. He asserted that the BJP government has maintained peace in the state, taking action against criminals and those involved in illegal activities.
On discussions about seat-sharing between SP and Congress for the upcoming elections, Chaudhary remarked that the two parties form alliances based on convenience and lack ideological coherence. He pointed out that Congress has lost its strong grassroots support in Uttar Pradesh and needs the SP’s assistance. In contrast, he stated that the BJP has maintained long-standing trust with its allies and will campaign on development issues in 2027, showcasing its achievements to the public.
Regarding Rahul Gandhi’s recent visit to Raebareli, Chaudhary noted that while he is visiting his constituency, Congress lacks significant political prospects in Uttar Pradesh. He characterized the party as dependent on “crutches,” suggesting that its progress is limited to the support it receives from the SP. He expressed confidence that the BJP and NDA will present a development agenda to the public in the upcoming elections, believing that the people of Uttar Pradesh will continue to support the BJP.
