BJP Leaders Criticize Samajwadi Party Following Yogi Adityanaths Remarks

Lucknow, September 8 (Daily Kiran) : Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath delivered a sharp critique of the former Samajwadi Party (SP) government during a rally in Ayodhya. He claimed that before 2017, the state was plagued by lawlessness and mafia rule. His statements have prompted reactions from various BJP leaders and ministers.

Minister Danish Ansari supported Adityanath’s remarks, asserting that the reality of Uttar Pradesh under SP rule was one of chaos and criminality. He described how police stations were effectively handed over to criminals and how government jobs were auctioned off by SP leaders. Ansari emphasized that women felt unsafe venturing out in the evenings during that period, contrasting this with the current governance, which he believes is steering the state towards good administration.

He pointed out a significant transformation in Uttar Pradesh since 2017, arguing that the SP aims to mislead the public ahead of the 2027 elections to return the state to the hands of criminals, a strategy he believes will fail.

Another minister, Ashish Patel, echoed these sentiments, stating that the SP government did not prioritize the welfare of the state. He remarked that merely changing appearances does not reflect a change of heart. Patel insisted that the actions of the SP government from 2012 to 2017 are well-remembered, advising Akhilesh Yadav to abandon any ambitions of becoming Chief Minister again in 2027.

In response to the SP’s introduction of blue uniforms for its workers, BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh mocked Akhilesh Yadav’s confusion regarding the meaning of ‘P’ in his coalition, which he initially identified as ‘backward’ and later as ‘Pandit.’ Singh suggested that Yadav’s shift in strategy to appeal to Dalits with the new uniforms may soon lead him to don a cap and lungi to attract Muslim voters.

Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai countered the BJP’s narrative, claiming that all the criminals and mafias have found refuge under CM Yogi’s government, with many becoming MLAs and MLCs. He criticized the BJP government for failing to maintain peace and harmony in the state, accusing them of employing various tactics to incite communal tensions.
