Bhojpur, August 6: The family of Bharat Tiwari, including his mother Asha Devi and brother Chandan Tiwari, has firmly rejected the allegations made by Prashant Kishor, founder of Jan Suraj. Kishor claimed that the family received ₹50 lakh in government aid. The family labeled this assertion as baseless and warned that they would file a defamation lawsuit if no evidence is presented within 15 days.
Asha Devi stated that false information is being spread about their family. Despite being educated, she accused Kishor of making irresponsible statements. She asserted that if her son were alive today, no one would dare to make such unfounded allegations. She demanded a thorough investigation within 15 days regarding the alleged ₹50 lakh received. If Kishor’s claim is proven false, she plans to take legal action against him.
Asha further claimed that her son was initially offered ₹4 crore, which he declined. She emphasized that if they did not accept the ₹4 crore, there was no question of receiving ₹50 lakh. Her son had previously stated that he would not accept such a sum, making the current accusations completely erroneous.
In response to Kishor’s challenge to MP Manoj Tiwari to deliver justice to the family within a month, Asha Devi pointed out that Kishor had previously promised justice within 15 days, which he failed to fulfill. She questioned what he would do now. Asha expressed gratitude for the support from Manoj Tiwari and Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, believing that justice would be served. She criticized the politicization of her son’s death, stating that political gains were made through photo opportunities. She urged educated individuals like Kishor to refrain from using such language and making accusations.
Chandan Tiwari also dismissed Kishor’s allegations. He stated that if the government provides financial assistance, it is done transparently with checks issued in front of cameras. He insisted that claiming the family received ₹50 lakh without any evidence is entirely false. While some claim ₹3 crore was received, others assert ₹50 lakh, but he affirmed that there is no truth to these statements. When his brother was alive, the ₹4 crore assistance was mentioned, which the family did not accept. Therefore, accusing them of accepting ₹50 lakh is entirely unfounded and insulting.
Chandan accused certain individuals of spreading fabricated stories to suppress the matter and tarnish their family’s reputation. He clarified that their family is not involved in anyone’s political battles, yet their family’s honor and his brother’s sacrifice are being exploited for political gain. He appealed to Kishor, as an educated person, not to defame their family or mock Bharat Tiwari’s sacrifice.
Chandan expressed confidence that the truth would eventually emerge, allowing people to recognize that their family was in the right. He viewed Manoj Tiwari’s commitment to delivering justice as a positive sign and hoped that the efforts would continue, leading to justice for their family.
