Bank Holiday Update: Tomorrow, November 29, marks the fifth Saturday of the month, and many people are wondering whether banks will remain open. According to Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines, banks are closed only on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month, while they remain operational on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays.

As November 29 falls on the fifth Saturday of the month, all bank branches across the country will remain open for regular banking operations. Customers can visit their nearest bank branch without any confusion about holiday schedules.

People often get confused about Saturday bank holidays, but the rule is simple – only the second and fourth Saturdays are designated as bank holidays each month. Since tomorrow is the fifth Saturday, all banking services will be available as usual.

Remaining November 2025 Holiday

November 30 falls on Sunday, so banks will remain closed nationwide as per the regular Sunday holiday schedule.

December 2025 Bank Holiday Schedule

December 1 – Banks in Arunachal Pradesh will remain closed due to Indigenous Faith Day celebration.

December 3 – Banks in Goa will be closed to observe St. Francis Xavier Day.

December 7 – All banks across India will remain closed due to Sunday.

December 12 – Banks in Meghalaya will be closed for Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma Day.

December 13 – Being the second Saturday of the month, banks nationwide will observe a holiday.

December 14 – Sunday holiday means all banks will remain closed across the country.

December 18 – Banks in Chhattisgarh will close for Guru Ghasidas Jayanti, while banks in Meghalaya will observe the death anniversary of U Soso Tham.

December 19 – Goa Liberation Day will result in bank closures across Goa.

December 24 – Christmas Eve will see bank closures in Meghalaya and Mizoram.

December 28 – Sunday holiday will keep all banks closed across India.

December 30 – Banks in Meghalaya will close for U Kiang Nangbah Day, while Sikkim banks will observe Tamu Losar.

December 31 – New Year preparations will see bank closures in Mizoram and Manipur.
